Booster Club Meeting

July 26, 2010 @ 7:00 PM @ Spearman High School

12 were present for the meeting called to order by Don Schroeder at 7:04 PM.

VP Boys – Ed Hansen was not present

VP Girls - Tiki Farrar & Kelly Garnett were present - nothing to report at this time other than girls physicals would be August 4th.  But are gearing up for another great cross country season.

Membership – Kellye Buchanan reported that membership/sponsorship are in progress - all the letter and senior ad letter would go out starting Tuesday, July 27th.  Hope to have all the information in by August 6th for poster, football and basketball ads.  She will need help during the football season doing programs that the Junior High Cheerleaders sale before the home games - Tami Hargrove the JH Cheer sponsor said she would help her.

Ways and Means – Julie Pittman or Julie Martin were not present.

Yard signs – Kelly Garnett reported she was working on yard signs.  She ask for help painting the black background and the that the seniors that graduated please bring her their yard signs to use for the upcoming kids.

Treasurer/Secretary – Tammy Benton reported the bank and saving account balance.  It was reported that money would be moved out of savings into checking to cover the first part of booster scholarship to be paid out.  A spreadsheet of yearly expenses and income was handout out.  Also that yearly sponsorships were in progress, hoping that more family sponsorships for this years broadcast. 

General Discussion – paint the paw around the HS and JH will be Thurs, July 29th at 6PM, will do the watermelon feed when we scrimmage Gruver August 14th at 12:30 or 1PM, Quentin had request mileage to be paid for the games he broadcast - this was present before the group.  We have paid him for doing the games, but not mileage to go to the games.  A motion was made to pay is fuel cost - Kellye and and Cayla seconded the motion, but Don was going to talk to him about this.  Booster has never paid mileage before, but we do count on Quentin to do the games - because he does a great job!  Meet the Lynxettes/Lynx will be August 19th at 7PM at the football stadium followed by the ice cream social.  We had received an email from Mr. Bynum about the highway since that has State listings on it - it needs to be updated with Melissa Lesly and back to back State Cross Country teams wins.  Don was going to look at to make sure there was room - if not - what the options would be.

Coach Rodman - reported that they were holding football game for the younger kids this week and had 25 Monday at the camp.  They were cleaning out and gearing up for the upcoming football year.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM and next meeting will be August 9th at the Spearman High School in Coach Rodman's room.
